New Year, New Kitchen!

Whether you’re looking to completely renovate your kitchen or do a small renovation, here are some money saving tips.

Here’s how the New Year can bring you the kitchen of your dreams.

Have a Plan!

We can’t stress this enough if you’re thinking about doing more than just replacing cabinets or countertops: hire an architect. It will save you time and money in the long run so you can avoid expensive errors during construction.

Add Architectural Details

You can give your kitchen renovation a high-end look without spending a lot of money. Try adding crown molding to your cabinetry, or even some bead board paneling to spruce up your kitchen island. Small details can have a big impact!

Give Outdated Cabinets a Facelift

One of the biggest costs in a kitchen renovation is cabinetry. If the cabinets are in good shape consider giving them a facelift with a new coat of paint. A classic semi-gloss white paint can hide outdated cabinets beautifully. Add new hardware to really make your guests say “wow”!

Let There Be Light!

Adding more light to your kitchen is a must. Overhead lighting should be bright and concentrated in areas where you cook. Add style with beautifully designed suspended lighting, and don’t forget adding lights under your cabinets to make a gorgeous impact without going over your budget.

Keep Existing Plumbing

A big way to save money during a kitchen renovation is to keep existing plumbing the same. Moving appliances around can be costly and sometimes unnecessary. Hiring an architect to make sure your kitchen is functional and beautiful is worth the extra expense in the long run.
